Bad Dragon review

Professionalism-✩✩✩

Pricing-✩✩✩

Despite being the largest and arguably most influential fantasy toy company, Bad Dragon's reputation leaves a very sour taste in my mouth. They have exhibited racism, pedophilia, zoophilia, and rude behavior towards customers. I personally haven't had any poor experiences, but due to so many customers reporting similar problems and the large amount of verifiable evidence, I take their voices into account. Bad Dragon is active mostly on Twitter and occasionally interacts with their audience.

Bad Dragon offers many beautiful colorations and models to choose from, but availability is often hindered with artificial scarcity and, in my opinion, outrageous pricing. BD's participation in artificial scarcity is a huge turn-off, as artificial scarcity can be anxiety inducing for people like me who don't have the money to shell out on time for limited sales. I hate feeling FOMO (fear of missing out), so I've distanced myself from participating in the excitement of BD product drops and other special events.

There is a lot of talent on Bad Dragon's team, but drops are often full of lackluster colors and massively flopped toys. I feel that BD is overconfident in their name. With BD's frequent carelessness, however, leads collectors looking for and demanding better products from other companies.
